YAKIMA, Wash. - Thanks to the generosity of several area credit unions, many Yakima School District students won't have to go without proper school supplies.
For 21 years, employees at Solarity Credit Union, CALCOE Federal Credit Union, Lower Valley Credit Union, State Highway District 5 Credit Union, and Washington State Employees Credit Union credit unions have filled nearly 5,000 folders each year for elementary students in the Yakima Valley.
Credit Union Representatives made the delivery to student leaders at Ridgeview Elementary on Thursday morning.
