Kiefer Sutherland believes 24 movie will happen next summer

By Kate Stanhope,

Jack Bauer may not be coming to a movie theater as soon as 24 fans would like, but it sounds like he's on his way.

Kiefer Sutherland told Crave Online at Fox's Television Critics Association party Monday that it was "unrealistic" for the film to shoot during his hiatus between Seasons 1 and 2 of Touch, but says that production has just been pushed back to next summer, and not indefinitely.

When asked if the script was ready to shoot during Touch's next hiatus, Sutherland, 45, said, "I believe so, yeah." Sutherland said he wasn't worried so much about how long it took to get the film adaptation to the big screen, as he was about getting it right. "I think we can make a great film. I mean, I don't want to do it with a cane, but we'll see. We'll see what happens."
