(MYFOX NATIONAL) - We'll have to wait until Sunday night to see which actors and films will take home the shiny new 2010 Oscar statuettes, but guessing is always half the fun.
The 82nd Annual Academy Awards will be held on Sunday, March 7 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
Vote for all the winners on MyFox DC's Academy Awards page .
Based on who has already won the Golden Globe, Screen Actors, Directors Guilds Awards, there are many front runners.
But just remember when you're filling out your Oscar pool ballets, that a few upsets are not unusual on movie's biggest night of the year.
While on Oprah this week renowned movie critic, Roger Ebert, predicted that Directors Guilds Awards winner, Kathryn Bigelow, will be crowned best director and also pegged her film "The Hurt Locker" as the best picture winner.
If Ebert is correct, Bigelow will make history as the first woman to ever win the best director Oscar.
With "Avatar" -- which made a record of its own as the biggest box office hit of all time -- missing from the famed film reviewer's list of top contenders, this could indeed be the biggest upset of the 82nd Academy Awards.
The technically brilliant fantasy flick created by Bigelow's ex-husband, James Cameron, opened Pandora's box and won him both the best director and film Golden Globes.
And according to Reuters.com , in the past decade the Golden Globe director winner has gone on to take home the Oscar 60 percent of the time.
But at the same time there have only been six exceptions where the Directors Guilds Awards winner has not also gone on to scoop the Academy Award since 1948.
And like Ebert, Oscar-winner Sir Elton John told Entertainment Weekly that, even though his favorite film was "Precious," he is confident the film about the war in Iraq, "The Hurt Locker," will win best director, "hands-down."
Ebert's actor and actress picks are in line with both the SAG and Golden Globe winners however.
While he is up against tough competition, Jeff Bridges is the favorite for the top actor prize for "Crazy Heart."
And the former "Siskel and Ebert" star expects the best actress gong to go to first-time Academy Award nominee, Sandra Bullock for "The Blind Side."
Ebert gives "Precious" star Mo'Nique's "spine-tingling" performance the thumbs up for the best supporting actress Oscar, "Mo'Nique will win for her powerful performance as the cruel and damaged mother in Precious."
And he told Oprah he favors front runner Christoph Waltz, from "Inglourious Basterds," to win in the best supporting actor category.
Giving further weight to Ebert's predictions, New York Times movie critic, Janet Roberts, has chosen the exact same winners with her gut and a bit of number crunching.
