About Dana Haynes

Dana Haynes joined FOX in February of 2004. Since coming to Spokane in the television news field, she worked as a general assignment reporter, weekend anchor. Becoming the main anchor for FOX was a fantastic opportunity.

Haynes graduated from Washington State University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts from the Edward R. Murrow School of Communications. Shortly after graduating, she moved to Boise to begin her broadcasting career at KIVI, the ABC affiliate.

While in Boise, Haynes won numerous awards from the Idaho Broadcasting Association. In 2002, and 2003, she won "Best Reporting" awards from the Inlander Newspaper Reader's poll.

In her spare time she runs a homemade candle business. She makes all the candles herself and the company is called Dandles. An avid dog lover, she rescued a dog in 2001. Kirby is a Sheepdog and Australian Shepherd mix and is often compared to Disney's Benji.
